Want to Get Involved? Book Lovers Needed!

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

The San Francisco Public Library is looking for several volunteers to work in their bookstores. Opportunities abound in the Main Library Branch and at Fort Mason, where a great selection of books is offered to the public at affordable prices. 2-3 hour weekday and weekend shifts are available. If you love books plus fun this is where you want to volunteer!

Contact Barbara Marre at bmarre@ncphs.org for more information or call 415-474-7787.

Technically, you'd be volunteering for the FRIENDS of the SFPL. Friends is a not-for-profit organization that owns and runs the book stores in order to support library programs, exhibits and initiatives that aren't funded by the City.

Lots of books! Lots of fun!
