In August 2007, AARP launched a video contest for young adults, ages 18 - 30, called U@50. The goal of U@50 was to encourage intergenerational dialogue, allow young people to speak their minds, and give AARP insight into the views of future constituents. Fifty contestants submitted short videos that depicting what they expect their lives to look like at age 50.
