Eons, a Myspace for boomers, turns a year old this month. Members of the online community give testimonial on the benefits of membership:
On staying vital, writes, "...Because of Eons I convinced my husband to gift me
with a bike for my birthday in April. Since then I have disciplined myself to
ride daily. I am up to 4 miles now, have lost 15 lbs. so far... This is ALL
because of YOU Eons...it may be your birthday, but since I "found you" everyday
is a new day for me!"On finding true friends, writes, "...My best testimony to Eons is that on July 8, my father (who just turned 80 on the 13th) had a terrible accident with his airplane.... I belong to a private women's group, and when I got the news on that Sunday night, I was in shock. The group members took turns staying up with me all night so I wouldn't be alone. One of the members lives in Sacramento, where my dad had been airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center. She told me, "That hospital is very close to where I live...get yourself up here, I'll pick you up and take you straight to the hospital."
On contemplating the world, writes, "Thanks to EONS, I can now find an outlet for my daily thoughts and ramblings. My wife is happy also, as she doesn't have to listen to them. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could teach some of the warring people in this world to express themselves in blogs rather than blowing stuff up? Just a thought."
